What are our classes? Best way is to come along and find out for yourself - understand that you get out what you put in, so be prepared to put in your best effort to get the best results and to come away buzzing!
We run 4 kids Kickboxing classes a week. The sessions cover our unique syllabus and grading system. Suitable for school children that are Year 1 and over.
The THURSDAY 5pm advanced class is for our Yellow belt students and above and focuses generally on higher grade & MMA techniques.
Often, by the age of around 13-15 we move our Juniors up into the Adults classes.
ADULTS MARTIAL ARTS
The heart of The Way Gym and where it all started for us. Kickboxing is the Art of Striking, using hand and leg techniques together with movement and blocks for offence and defence. Widely recognised for improving your fitness, our kickboxing classes are also a great way to learn new skills and to defend yourself. Our classes are run by long time Kickboxers WCA Champions Gary and Joe Patterson, and TFC & WCA Champion Scott Cocking.
BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU
BJJ is grappling and ground fighting. Used for sport grappling and for self defence, BJJ uses technique, leverage and ground fighting to apply joint locks and chokes to defeat the opponent. Our Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class is run by Darren Carey, a Black Belt under internationally renowned black belt and teacher Pedro Bessa.
No-Gi grappling for MMA, including wrestling drills. You'll often see current UFC athlete Nad Narimani or former UFC athlete Brad Scott leading this class.
BOXING & K1 STRIKING
Our Boxing & K1 Class is run by former UFC fighter Bradley Scott. To train and compete at this level means that we have a world class mixed martial artist and we are very lucky to have him on our coaching team, he is a renowned technical striker.
Aikido is a practical Japanese self defence martial art which uses joint locks, throws and weapons. Run by Fudoshinkan Bristol, it is a contact martial art, although practice is under controlled conditions. This is currently an over 18's class only, suitable for beginners and advanced practitioners.
Boxing based fitness class with Amanda, where we don't take ourselves too seriously but always work hard!
Fitness classes, where 2 classes are rarely the same. Bodyweight, Kettlebells, Free Weights, Core Work, Battle Ropes, Movement, you don't know what you're going to get... but you'll always get a good workout.
Relaxed atmosphere of bodyweight exercise and partner pad drills for a great cardio workout
